Busy bee

It's a Busy day with a capital B. My day started early at 5AM because we had to help set-up for the semi-annual sale. It's one of the busiest days in the retail industry and not to mention that we just moved to our temporary location since the store is getting renovated. The new place is way smaller and the stockroom is a mess. There were piles and piles of boxes everywhere, sale items scattered all over the place and literally rubbing elbows with one another. It's a crazy beautiful day at Victoria's Secret!!! Welcome to my world!

Today's Highlights:

1. My day-starters. Fave starbucks combo: mocha frapp + banana chocolate chip coffee cake. 

2. Reggie picked me up from work and we had lunch at this Jap restaurant. 

3. Feeling artsy that i just had to snap a pic of this Instagrammable door at Minado. 

4. I was so hungry that i devoured everything on my plate. (Sssshhh... That's my 3rd plate right there.)

4. Look who's got a new phone! Not me!!! This is Reggie's new S4 and i'm jealous. 

5.Lil things make me happy. This is my only loot from the sale. I'm poor. Every girl has to have this no-show undies. It's love! 

Monday

Today is a man-day because i spent time with Reggie even if most of our time was wasted on several phone calls and an errand to Comcast because we are changing our cable and internet provider. I'm still thankful that we were able to squeeze in a lil time for movie mondate and a shopping mineday too. :)

Today's Highlights:

1.It's nice and sunny outside, perfect way to bring out my tank top and denim shorts. 

2. It's all in the detail. this is while i was waiting for my fave fire grilled corn guacamole from Chili's 

3.Movie time with Mr. Go 

4.Meet our backseat passengers. :)  I was definitely in temptation island earlier.Sigh. Is there a shopping rehab? because i badly need one. : D

Sundate : AMC Dine-in Theater

I love movies because it makes me happy and keeps me sane. Going solo is really not a big deal for me because i've done it so many times. It feels weird though when watching a comedy flick and i'm laughing all by myself with no one to share it with.  I'm glad i found a partner who share the same hobby and who painstakingly goes with me to watch Filipino movies even if it's so not his cup of tea. Never a week goes by that we don't get to watch a movie. We're part of the reason why the movie industry is booming. :)  So, once in a while we treat ourselves and spend a lil more for the best movie experience. 

Today's Highlights:

1.AMC in Essex Green

2.It has a beautiful lobby where guests can wait, eat or have a drink or two. 

3.The bar at the lobby.

4.VIP seating.  The best!!!

5.What else can i ask for?

Golden frosting

I think i've mentioned it before that i love accessories. It just makes things prettier. It's like a frosting on a cupcake, the icing on the cake, and that extra dollop of syrup which makes it sweeter and better.  I've been obsessed with anything gold recently. Here's the proof:

The perks of being a birthday girl

I recently turned absofabulouslythirthyone so i treated myself to a shopping spree here and also in las vegas. (Oh yeah! it's not divisoria and greenhills anymore.) It was the first time that i spent big on shopping. I usually go on lil trips or staycations on my previous birthdays but since Reggie took care of the trip and the fab massage at the MGM Grand Hotel, i just had to indulge myself with the lil money that i saved.

I've been crushing on the MK watch since pinterest existed. I dream about it and i make lil side trips to the MK store just to take a peek of my crush.  But now, it's all mine. My watch reminds me of my 2wk salary in the Philippines. Hahaha...

 

Since i can't afford a Cartier love bangle because it's ridiculously priced, i got myself this pretty studded bangle from Miss Kate Spade.  Sucha perfect match for my gold watch.

I've been everywhere in the cyberworld. Social media activist (translation: very active in social media. I breath, eat, drink social media). I don't know if i still know how to write and if my grammar is still on the right path. 😜 whatever! I will still try my best to write and fuel my longing to update this blog. So much backtracks but hang in there and be patient.

Friday Favorites: a lil bit of something ☀

Since my sister Aden tagged me as the aspiring wedding planner on her blog, might as well share what my wedding-planner-wannabe self found online. These are a few of my favorites and if one day i'll get to have my church wedding, i would push to get at least two of these. only 2? ok, let's leave it at that and let's just see what happens. I can also be an assistant or supplier if Iryl decides to have her own business. The girl has taste so i would love to collaborate with her (collaboration gyud, spoken like a true designer.hahaha... well, that's what dreams are for.)

I really wanted to have a passport-inspired wedding invite. it's so cute and unique.

 

Personalized hangers. Each is sold at $20. I would definitely consider to get this.hahaha...  

Everyone has to get over the "figurine souvenirs". It will just gather dust and it will never be put to a good use. There are tons of great ideas now and i have my current faves. One is this candy favor with the line "mint to be together".  I really love it and is sucha cute idea.

Do you ever wonder how it feels to have a fan club?hahaha... kidding aside, I wanna have these cute fans as souvenirs and label it with "Reggie and Nikki Fan Club".   ☃

The catchy line is such an attention grabber which will surely light up the mood of the event. ☻

Travel Tuesday: Central Park

I'll feature NYC for the month of June. If you look at the map, it is one of the smallest states but it has a lot to offer and so many beautiful things around it. One Sunday afternoon, we decided to brave the traffic and spent it in one of the most beautiful parks around the world - Central Park. ☀ Another tick on my to-go list. ☑

The park is home to most of the romantic Hollywood movies. I cannot count the number of movies or tv shows shot in this location, each with different take on how to showcase the beauty of this park.

The whole place is magical and it's picturesque. I grew up with Rizal Park (in my hometown) as my playground so imagine how excited and happy i was when i finally got the chance to roam around the park. ☻☻☻

It is so refeshing to see some greens within the city. It gives a good balance to the skyscrapers just across the park. A thumbs up for Mother Nature.

This bridge always gets featured in the movies and it has earned it's popularity among tourists so that makes us popular too (in our dreams). hahaha...
