Friday Favorites: a lil bit of something ☀

Since my sister Aden tagged me as the aspiring wedding planner on her blog, might as well share what my wedding-planner-wannabe self found online. These are a few of my favorites and if one day i'll get to have my church wedding, i would push to get at least two of these. only 2? ok, let's leave it at that and let's just see what happens. I can also be an assistant or supplier if Iryl decides to have her own business. The girl has taste so i would love to collaborate with her (collaboration gyud, spoken like a true designer.hahaha... well, that's what dreams are for.)

I really wanted to have a passport-inspired wedding invite. it's so cute and unique.

Personalized hangers. Each is sold at $20. I would definitely consider to get this.hahaha...

Everyone has to get over the "figurine souvenirs". It will just gather dust and it will never be put to a good use. There are tons of great ideas now and i have my current faves. One is this candy favor with the line "mint to be together".  I really love it and is sucha cute idea.

Do you ever wonder how it feels to have a fan club?hahaha... kidding aside, I wanna have these cute fans as souvenirs and label it with "Reggie and Nikki Fan Club".
The catchy line is such an attention grabber which will surely light up the mood of the event.

Where to? i love the signs.

Travel Tuesday: Central Park

I'll feature NYC for the month of June. If you look at the map, it is one of the smallest states but it has a lot to offer and so many beautiful things around it. One Sunday afternoon, we decided to brave the traffic and spent it in one of the most beautiful parks around the world - Central Park. ☀ Another tick on my to-go list.
The park is home to most of the romantic Hollywood movies. I cannot count the number of movies or tv shows shot in this location, each with different take on how to showcase the beauty of this park.

CHAIR. my fave couple in the hit show "Gossip Girl"

who would ever forget this cute boy in "August Rush"

♫"How does she know you love her?" ♫ Remember this scene from the disney movie "Enchanted"?

Sarah Jessica Parker shoots a scene of Sex and the City in Central Park.
The whole place is magical and it's picturesque. I grew up with Rizal Park (in my hometown) as my playground so imagine how excited and happy i was when i finally got the chance to roam around the park. ☻☻☻

It is so refeshing to see some greens within the city. It gives a good balance to the skyscrapers just across the park. A thumbs up for Mother Nature.

Greens and Skyscrapers.

Trisikad. If you're too lazy to walk then you have the option to rent this but this little paradise begs you to explore on foot.

This bridge always gets featured in the movies and it has earned it's popularity among tourists so that makes us popular too (in our dreams). hahaha...

Katherine Heigl's movie "27 Dresses" was shot here. Isn't it lovely?

If "row, row, row your boat" is your peg for your date, then go and row!

kanya-kanyang hilig :  photography class, biking, people watching, playing the accordion or the guitar. it's a free country anyway (or a free park i guess.haha) ☼ ☁

artists on the loose.

art for sale.

fashion shoot. unggoy-unggoyan ang peg. hahaha...

a wedding pictorial. kebs sa passersby. Pose lang ng pose.

aaaaaw... A proposal this grand deserves a big YES. would you?

Sun-worshippers. While Pinoys are so obsessed with whitening products and armed with an umbrella, the whites will do anything just to get a nice tan.

you know you love me NY as much as i do.
xoxo

Moodboard Monday: Coral

I've worn this coral eyelet dress for a couple of times already but chose to bring this with me. It comes with sweet mem'ries. I wore it again when Reggie and i went to Pennsylvania, this time with a mexican vibe and an animal print accent.

Sundate: Cake Boss

In the olden times, people chew raw sugarcane to extract its sweetness. Imagine if we have to do that everytime we crave for something sweet.hahaha. We're so lucky that our generation offers a quick access to our sweet cravings. And i am one of the luckiest because the cake boss lives in the same state as i do. I can't say i have a sweet tooth because i rarely crave for the lil sweet things and desserts didn't make it to my favorites. Seeing the Cake Boss show on TLC sorta activated my taste buds and since Carlos' Bakery is in NJ, we took time one day to visit this sugarland. You can't miss this place because it is right across the Hoboken City Hall and you can't miss the long lines outside. They give you priority numbers upon arrival because place is always jampacked with a waiting time of around 15 minutes. It's just a small bakery with a lot to offer. It is a popular tourist destination because of the high tv ratings and the great reviews. Carlo has my vote because the taste doesn't disappoint and i surely wanna come back for more.

with the Cake Boss.

a trip to Carlo's Bakery is not complete without that white box.

it's a full house.
parade of sweetness.

they offer almost anything that would satisfy your craving.

our saccharine loot: red velvet cupcake, cannoli, dark  mousse, tiramisu

Friday favorites : Girl Power

This friday is all about my girl crushes. I am straight but i can't help but adore their style,elegance,chic-ness,wit and the way they carry themselves. I wanna meet all of them in person. (*wishful thinking)

Natalie Portman. The face of Miss Dior. She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.

Emily VanCamp. Who doesn't love Emily of Revenge?

 Princess Katherine. i love her.

Olivia Palermo.Do you wanna be a part of her circle? Love her or hate her. She's the person i love to hate in "The City" but i love her sense of style.

Leighton Meester. The Blair Waldorf and the Queen Bee.She surely deserves her throne.

Lauren Conrad. She's the belle of the ball. The only reality TV star i adore.

Travel Tuesday : i ♥ NY

Join me while i sing a line of jay-z's hit song "empire state of mind". Ready? Waiiiit! I think i saw my sister with a big STOP sign on her forehead. Hahaha. Well, i can sing but i couldn't really carry a tune. :) so, lemme just share my NY experience to you. But first lemme shout "New York, New York!".

and because NY is colder than NJ, a winter outfit is a must.
            • winter jacket
            • undershirt
            • boots
            • a trusty leggings
            • uber excited self

NY has always been on top of my list for my to-go-places. The movies and some tv shows may have featured it a gazillion times but i never get bored of this city and at the back of my mind,i would always say "one day". The day has finally come. NJ and NY are like sisters, it's kinda connected to each other. It's only a 20-minute drive from NJ which makes labangon to lahug(both in Cebu) farther by comparison.hahaha... The empire state building stands tall and is really a sight to behold from afar, it always feels like it's waving at me saying "come to NY!".  It's surreal when i finally set foot in the Big Apple. If what you saw on the big screen made you fall in love with NYC, you will really fall head-over-heels when you come and see it by yourself. I haven't seen all of NY yet but i promised myself i will come back for more.

the real yellow taxi.

we took the  hop-on,hop-off tour bus. the ticket we bought was for the 48-hr trip. a good way to see the city.

sucha beautiful day to explore the city.

can you see the empire state building? it stands out among the rest.

chuck bass' empire

central park. we didn't go inside the park that day.

lovely architecture all over the city .

columbia university

skyscrapers in all forms

  Trump hotel.  Guggenheim Museum.Julliard School.

i love how they were able to preserve the old buildings.

Times Square is a tourist's must-see. Billboards everwhere and each billboard costs $50,000 per day.  Imagine how much the owner earns each day.
